The Lies of a Human/Gorilla/Warthog Hybrid: We’re Talking Lawsuit Now. Robert Gorman Wants the Johnson Newspaper Corporation Stock Holders to Punish Him So Bad.

Robert Gorman is the managing editor of the Watertown Daily Times.  Mr. Gorman once stated to me that I was scamming people about chemical exposure causing cancer.  I replied to this ugly, abusive comment with the statement, “You F”ing A’hole.”  Mr. Gorman retaliated by blacklisting me.  He tells the reporters not to write about anything that I do, except in cases where he thinks that my actions can be twisted into something that harms me.  Mr. Gorman has done this for too long.  I have decided to bring Mr. Gorman to his knees.  Mr. Gorman has decided to start lying about his past bad behaviors.  He somehow can’t figure out that I am going to take him down by speaking the Truth about him.

Mr. Gorman states in his blog that I told one of the Watertown Daily Times secretaries to F herself.  That is a lie.  Mr. Gorman states that he did not say that I was scamming people about chemicals causing cancer.  That is a lie.  Mr. Gorman wants trouble with the stock holders of the Johnson Newspaper Corporation.  I’m going to give it to him.  The stock holders may be able to convince Mr. Gorman that it is wrong to lie when it costs the corporation more than 50 thousand dollars to enter into the courtroom with me.   I am going to hit Mr. Gorman where it hurts, “Silver and Gold.”

I am joyous in Nature.  Viva the Revolution!

I have provided below the false statement that Mr. Gorman placed on his blog.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Well you’ve cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air. But will you keep on building higher‘til there’s no more room up there?

AUG. 30: 2012: I have been called many names by many people over the years, but I have never been lit up quite this way by a candidate running — or in the case of Donald Hassig, dancing — for federal office.

Hassig and I have a lengthy, but remarkably uncomplicated history. He phones me from time to time to tell me to go procreate with myself, and I hang up the phone before he suggests it a second time. (I once filed a complaint about Hassig to the State Police after he told one of our innocent secretaries to go procreate with herself, and the response I received was, “Oh, he says that to you, too?”)

Hassig occasionally emails the Times his manifestos as to why it is wrong for businesses to use air, water and other natural resources to make a buck. For the most part, we generally ignore him, except when he is thrown off municipal or private property for singing, yelling or dancing. For instance, I wrote in 1999: “Environmentalist Don Hassig went to Potsdam State University College in November to recite poems he had written about ecological concerns. Evidently, he started raising his voice to a bothersome level, leading to his forced removal from campus for, alas, noise pollution.”

Hassig is the Green Party candidate for the Congressional seat held by Bill Owens and his campaign is, as expected, Hassig-esque. But in the spirit of full disclosure, here is a portion of the press release he sent out this week:

I conducted my news conference in the outdoor area between the Flower Memorial Library and City Hall. This was a wonderful place to do a news conference because it is located right across the street from the HQ of the Johnson Newspapers Corporation (JNC). The JNC is the newspaper monopoly of the North Country. It is the perfect newspaper corporation for a backward, negative, military, industrial city like Watertown, New York.

The WDT is the flagship of the JNC. Robert Gorman, the managing editor of the WDT is a overbearing dirt ball that has well deserved every word of Truth that I ever spoken to him. I have on more than a few occasions told him to frack himself upside down in a coconut tree. This human/gorilla/warthog hybrid is nothing more than totally mean and crazy. Mr. Robert Gorman had the ugly audacity to say to me that I was scamming people about chemical exposure and cancer many long years ago when I first started my career as an environmental activist. I have apologized to him on more than a few occasions for having used vulgar language in response to his abusive attack.

He does not have the character that it takes to offer an apology. He does not have the character that it takes to accept an apology. Mr. Gorman is a hybrid as I described above. He is not done fracking himself.

… In my mind, the library and city hall juxtaposition constitutes a great campaigning venue. I got my CD player out of the van and made preparations for a dance performance on Washington Street… I spoke loudly. I sang loudly. A few times, I shouted loudly. It worked. A small crowd grew around me on the sidewalk. One trouble maker showed up and tried to get me angry. He did not succeed. However, I was a little pissed by his negative comments about my stature as a congressional candidate. I admit to having told him to frack himself quite a few times. Nevertheless, I continued to give a high-powered, exciting dance performance. I spoke much Truth. I felt much Freedom. It was so good.

I wish to offer a mild rebuttal. I do not remember anything about a coconut tree; Hassig must have said that while I was hanging up the phone on him. I don’t remember ever saying I thought he was scamming people because I have done my level best not to talk to him at all.

And I really do think I accepted his apology when he indeed called months ago to apologize for his vulgar language over the last 12 years. That part about me not apologizing to him? Yeah, he got that part right.

All I have to say for myself is that after 38 years in journalism I still can’t treat mental illness, but I most certainly can detect it.

And I’m going to let the voters of the 21st Congressional District sort out the rest.

Free Speech and Free Dancing are Winning Voter Approval

Check out the good news coverage of my recent protest sparked arrest.  When the Truth is told, I win voter approval.

Thank you North Country Now, WPDM Hits 99 Radio and Plattsburgh Press-Republican for making this possible.  You have broken the embargo that the Watertown Daily Times and TV 50  have long tried to maintain concerning the good environmental protection work that I do in the North Country.  You are wonderful comrade revolutionaries.  Viva the New American Revolution!  The people are throwing the bad corporations and the bad government out of our country.  We are finally getting going and doing it.  Wahoo!

9/3/12 Media Advisory: Green Hassig Speaks Out on Akwesasne and Massena PCB Poisoning

Green Hassig Speaks Out on Akwesasne and Massena PCB Poisoning

Monday, September 3rd, 2012, 11:00 AM

Massena Springs Park, Intersection of Main Street and Hatfield Street,
Massena, New York USA

It has become ever more clear that an atrocity has been committed in
the North Country.  What has happened at Akwesasne over the course of
the past 50 years is environmental genocide.  The operation of the
ALCOA West, the former Reynolds and now ALCOA East factories and the
former GM Powertrain factory has heavily polluted the environment
upwind and upstream from Akwesasne.  The use, discharge and disposal
of PCBs and other industrial pollutants at all three factories has
resulted in high exposures to PCBs and numerous other contaminants of
soil, sediments, water and air for the people residing at Akwesasne.

The residents of the Village of Massena and the Town of Massena have
experienced many of the exposures that took place and continue to take
place on the First Nation reserve.  Many people in Massena have
suffered the diseases that ravage Akwesasne:  cancers, heart disease,
diabetes, reproductive problems and cognitive impairments.  The  best
strategy for protecting human health in the Akwesasne-Massena region
is to mount a regional effort to bring changes that will serve to
minimize current and future exposures to all disease causing chemicals
and agents.  The toxic chemicals that are now present in the region
must be removed from the region and placed in a secure facility that
will totally contain the hazardous materials so as to stop all
exposures.  Additionally, releases of toxic substances into the
environment of this region must be curtailed in a very substantial
way.  Polluting activities should be minimized.  Finally, an effort
should be mounted to provide pollutant exposure minimization education
to all residents of the region.  These three endeavors are of critical
importance to the public health of all people residing in this section
of the St. Lawrence River Valley.

“The Labor Day Parade and Picnic in the Village of Massena is a
perfect venue for starting the dialogue that will usher in the days of
science based pollutant exposure minimization in this poisoned place.
Let’s get started.  We can all simply get together and talk about
changing things for the better.  I will be at the Massena Springs Park
on Labor Day 2012 doing just that.”-Donald L. Hassig

8/29/12 News Release: Watertown Police Arrest Green Champion of Environmental Protection, Freedom and Human Rights Just for Dancing and Singing Loudly on American Street

Green Champion of Environmental Protection, Freedom and Human Rights
Arrested for Dancing and Singing Loudly on American Street

Viva the Kick Ass Revolution!!  I traveled many miles to visit
Watertown yesterday so that I could conduct a campaign news conference
there.  Despite the fact that this was my first campaign visit to
Watertown and the fact that none of the Watertown news media had yet
published or broadcast an interview on the subject of my campaign
platform, no member of the Watertown news media, including: the
Watertown Daily Times (WDT), TV 7 and TV 50 chose to attend the news
conference.  This is because there is no honor among the members of
the news media in the City of Watertown.  The news media in Watertown
is all about and only about money.  The Watertown news media has a lot
of soul searching to do.

I conducted my news conference in the outdoor area between the Flower
Memorial Library and City Hall.  This was a wonderful place to do a
news conference because it is located right across the street from the
HQ of the Johnson Newspapers Corporation (JNC).  The  JNC is the
newspaper monopoly of the North Country.  It is the perfect newspaper
corporation for a backward, negative, military, industrial city like
Watertown, New York.  The WDT is the flagship of the JNC.  Robert
Gorman, the managing editor of the WDT is a overbearing dirt ball that
has well deserved every word of Truth that I ever spoken to him.  I
have on more than a few occasions told him to frack himself upside
down in a coconut tree.  This human/gorilla/warthog hybrid is nothing
more than totally mean and crazy.  Mr. Robert Gorman had the ugly
audacity to say to me that I was scamming people about chemical
exposure and cancer many long years ago when I first started my career
as an environmental activist.  I have apologized to him on more than a
few occasions for having used vulgar language in response to his
abusive attack.  He does not have the character that it takes to offer
an apology.  He does not have the character that it takes to accept an
apology.  Mr. Gorman is a hybrid as I described above.  He is not done
fracking himself.

I went right ahead and conducted my Love the Earth Protect the Earth
Change Everything news conference on the subject of the blood of
Watertown residents that is on the hands of the New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the New York State
Department of Health (DOH); I did the news conference regardless of
the failure of the news media to do its part.  I conducted this
wonderful news conference at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in
the location described above.  My camera man, Jeff Ostrom, a fellow
Green Party member and Occupier filmed the news conference.  The Green
Party is handling the candidacy and the news media.  We can do it all.
I will place the news conference video on YouTube later today.

Our news conference laid out a plan for protecting the people who live
in the vicinity of the New York Air Brake Superfund site.  I spoke of
the investigation that Cancer Action NY has mounted to document and
bring out the Truth about the governmental failures that caused people
to become sick and die around the heavily contaminated New York Air
Brake site.

I used this news conference to make clear the fact that the
corporate/government team was very corrupt and that because of this
corruption there was a tremendous need to bring an end to the power of
that team.  I took the strong, highly reasonable position that this
election season is a time for building the Green Party and calling for
Revolution.  One without the other is not nearly as good as both
together.  The Green Party grows.  The good people come out in the
streets and shut down the bad corporations and the bad government.
The people hold fair, publicly financed elections and the good Green
Party people win important government offices.  This is how we can
accomplish a beautiful, non-violent power change.  This is exactly
what we need to do.  If the American people are good enough and strong
enough and wise enough to do this, I can lead them.  If the American
people are not good enough, strong enough and wise enough to want a
revolution then America and the rest of the world will rapidly decline
and become a place that is only habitable by cockroaches and other
less than humanly fragile forms of life.

I am the Revolution!  Wanna be Baron Doheny, and Prince Owens, did you
hear what I said?  I am the Revolution!  You two just don’t get it.
You are both truly pathetic.  Mr. Doheny is a mindless businessman
that should be ashamed of himself for being all about business when
that is exactly what has caused all of the fracked-up things that are
wrong with America.  Being all about business is what caused DEC and
DOH and New York Air Brake to have the blood of the people of
Watertown on their hands.  Mr. Doheny is wrong.  Congressman Owens is
wrong too.  He is also all about business; he is just a little more
diplomatic about being that way.  However, this slight difference
doesn’t matter.  Doheny is wrong.  Owens is wrong.  Whether Doheny or
Owens wins this election is immaterial,  whichever one wins will
continue to lead our country down into the pit of greed and
destruction of our Mother the Earth.  Republicans and Democrats are
interchangeable.  The corporations dominate both parties to the same
extent.  The bad corporations control every move that the members of
these bad parties take.  So long as the Republicans and Democrats
remain in power the corporations will run the show.

Enjoying Freedom of Dance and Speech on Washington Street in Watertown

After my beautiful news conference, I visited the Flower Memorial
Library and proceeded to create a website titled New York Air Brake
Health.  This site is now up and running.  It can be accessed at the
URL found below.  The purpose of the website is to provide the people
living in the vicinity of the New York Air Brake Superfund site with
science based information on the subject of pollutant exposure
minimization.  Pollutant exposure minimization is the new paradigm in
public health protection.  Minimizing exposure to pollutants minimizes
disease risk.

http://newyorkairbrakehealth.wordpress.com

Once I was done with the website, I went back outside thinking about
where I could go to do some campaigning.  In my mind, the library and
city hall juxtaposition constitutes a great campaigning venue.  I got
my CD player out of the van and made preparations for a dance
performance on Washington Street.  This was about 7:30 PM.  Traffic
was moderately heavy and the traffic noise was a significant obstacle
to communication.  I spoke loudly.  I sang loudly.  A few times, I
shouted loudly.  It worked.  A small crowd grew around me on the
sidewalk.  One trouble maker showed up and tried to get me angry.  He
did not succeed.  However, I was a little pissed by his negative
comments about my stature as a congressional candidate.  I admit to
having told him to frack himself quite a few times.   Nevertheless,  I
continued to give a high-powered, exciting dance performance.  I spoke
much Truth.  I felt much Freedom.  It was so good.

The trouble maker, who refused to identify himself, taunted me with
threats of calling the police.  I told him that I would love it if the
police showed up because they would force him to move on.  To
demonstrate my hopes in this scenario, I yelled, “Help, Police.”
several times.  Then I continued with my dance performance.  The City
of Watertown Police actually responded.  The officer in charge asked
me some questions and I explained that I was speaking loudly because I
wanted to attract a crowd so that I could speak with interested people
about my campaign. Then he asked me if I was on any medications.  The
fact that he asked me this after I had just given him entirely
reasonable answers to his reasonable questions was a warning flag.

This officer decided to treat me as badly as he thought he could get
away with.  He handcuffed me very tightly and transported me to the
police headquarters.  He processed me with fingerprinting and mug
shots. I realized that this was preliminary to putting me in jail over
night.  I am well aware of the discretion that police officers have
and use in exercising their authority.  This officer was choosing the
most unpleasant means of dealing with my “offenses”.  I was charged
with disorderly conduct/public menacing and theft of services.  How
ridiculous can things get, charged with theft of services because I
had plugged my CD player into city power.  I must have stolen five
cents worth of electricity.  Police bail was set at 500.00.  I tried
to reason with the officer explaining that my dog was chained up in
the Adirondack mountains and that it would be hard on the dog being
left out all night due to the fact that she was accustomed to sleeping
beside me on my bed.  I begged him to show some consideration of the
dog and give me an appearance ticket so that I could go back up to
Colton right away.  He showed no compassion at all.

I was brought over to the jail.  My shoes, belt and possessions were
taken away from me.  I stood before the jailers and begged some more
for someone to show some consideration of my dog.  The officer who was
making decisions about my incarceration relented a little and dropped
the theft of services charge.  He reduced the bail to 100.00 dollars.
I had nearly 100.00 in my wallet.  He counted it out and I was a
little short.  He would not go any lower on the bail.

I called an acquaintance up in St. Lawrence County and then she got in
touch with fellow Green Party member Lew Shepard.  Lew is a founding
member of Cancer Action NY.  I met him in January 2000, when I started
this grassroots environmental organization.  I chose to call Michele
Reed who I have known for several years because I thought Lew would be
asleep at the late hour of 10:30 PM.  He is 85 years old and he goes
to bed at 9:00 PM.  Michele is a good ally.  We first met when she
contacted me to express her willingness to speak out about chemical
carcinogens and the many, many people with cancer that she knows about
in the Town of Morristown.  Michele helped me out.  She got ahold of
Lew and he came all the way from Canton to Watertown to help me.
There are lots of good people in St. Lawrence County who are working
together with Cancer Action NY to bring an end to the days of
careless, criminal chemical use.

It felt so good to be free.  Free at last.  Free to drive up to Colton
and get my dog in out of the chilly Adirondack night.  She’s half
Doberman and half Catahoula.  Her hair is very short.  She was cold
out there.

The police stole five hours of my life.  They have a lot of power.
That’s the way it goes.  I let it go.

The Green Party and The Revolution can turn this nightmare of greed,
bad corporate people running the world and police doing their biding
around, but we’d better get started.  The humans’ time on Earth is
rapidly running out.  If we really got started right now, we might
have an even chance of turning things around.  If we wait much longer
it will be too late.

The kids will hate us if we fail to revolt against the corporate
overlords now.  This is it.  Viva the Revolution.  I will be back in
Watertown on Saturday, September 15th at 9:00 AM for the start of
Occupy Watertown.

Occupy Watertown!!  The DEC is going down.  The DOH is going down.
The corporate overlords are going down.  We will force them to stop
abusing our Mother the Earth.  The fracking corporate overlords are
going down!  Amen! This is 2012.  This is the end of the world as we
know it.  Viva the total, global, spiritual environmental revolution!

8/28/12 Media Advisory: Green Candidate Hassig Presents Plan for Minimizing Harm at NY Air Brake Superfund Site

Green Candidate Hassig Presents Plan for Minimizing Harm at NY Air
Brake Superfund Site

Tuesday, August 28, 2012, 4:00 PM

Dulles State Office Building, Watertown, New York USA
First Floor Lobby

The residents of the Watertown neighborhood that is near the NY Air
Brake Superfund Site have suffered a horrible public health disaster.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and
the New York State Department of Health (DOH) have the blood of many
on their hands.  This is so wrong.

Cancer Action NY will take immediate steps to minimize the harm that
will result from the presence of industrial contaminants on the lands
of the NY Air Brake factory.  We will put up a pollutant carcinogen
exposure minimization education page on our website and conduct door
to door educational outreach in the impacted neighborhood.  We will
begin advocating for active comprehensive cancer prevention
educational outreach by the DOH in the affected community.  We will
commence an investigation of government inaction and deception in
matters concerning the contamination of Kelsey Creek, the NY Air Brake
site and the outdoor atmosphere in the vicinity of the NY Air Brake
site.

“I am outraged by what I heard at the North Side Improvement League NY
Air Brake Superfund Site meeting that took place last week in
Watertown.  The people of this community have been abused very badly
by NY Air Brake, the DEC and the DOH.  It is time for corporate and
government accountability in Watertown.  Where is the US Environmental
Protection Agency?  This is unconscionable in America.”-Donald L.

When Will The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Publish a POPs Health Hazard Advisory on the Internet?

When will the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) make a persistent organic pollutants (POPs) health hazard advisory available on the internet?  It would be so easy.  CDCP is free to use the Cancer Action NY advisory found below.

Persistent Organic Pollutants Health Hazard Advisory

In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) published, “Persistent Organic Pollutants:  Impact on Child Health”.  This public health policy guidance document calls for a worldwide effort to minimize the exposures that children receive to persistent organic pollutants (POPs).  The landmark WHO report can be accessed by simply Googling:  WHO,POPs Impact on Child Health.

POPs are contaminants of all animal fats.  This contamination has occurred throughout the world due to the release into the environment of man-made substances that are fat soluble and highly resistant to degradation by natural processes.  POPs include:  dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), brominated flame retardants, Mirex, Toxaphene, hexachlorocyclohexane, hexachlorobenzene, chlordane, DDT, endrin and dieldrin.  In the case of brominated flame retardants, house dust and car dust are believed to constitute major sources of exposure.

“Children are more sensitive than adults to almost all dangerous substances, and that particularly is true for persistent organic pollutants (POPs).  Prenatal and early life exposure to POPs results in reduced cognitive function, suppressed immune system function and altered development of the reproductive system as well as increased risk of development of other diseases, such as cancer, later in life.”-David O. Carpenter, MD

POPs are toxic, man-made substances that accumulate to ever increasing levels in the bodies of organisms, which consume significant quantities of animal fats.  Scientific knowledge supports the conclusion that POPs exposure resultant from animal fat consumption at current levels of food supply contamination imposes far more than an acceptable quantity of disease risk upon the average consumer.  POPs exposure has been associated with increased risk of developing a wide spectrum of diseases and disorders, including:  type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, obesity, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  POPs exposure has been found to impair the functioning of the immune system and the reproductive system.  POPs exposure reduces cognitive function.

Minimizing POPs exposure is an important disease risk reduction strategy.  You can minimize your POPs exposure by consuming little or no animal fat and regularly cleaning so as to remove dust from the house and car.

JOIN Picket Project to Participate in On-Line Collaboration Finding Solutions to Our Nations Problems

The Picket Project is an experiment in the use of the internet to conduct a large scale discussion of complex societal matters.  It is possible that participating in the Picket Project will lead us closer to the day when the people of America take full control of our government.  I highly recommend that anyone interested in voicing their thoughts on changing the corporate run government that we have now into the People’s Government join into the Picket Project discussion.  You can start participating in the Picket Project by liking it on the WordPress site.

I am hopeful that the Picket Project will empower a national on-line discussion of how the American people can eliminate cancer. The elimination of cancer is within reach for everyone on Earth. The only obstacles to elimination are indifference, lack of public awareness of scientific knowledge on the subjects of carcinogen exposure and cancer risk imposed by exposure to carcinogens and corporate activities directed at derailing the work of those who seek to inform the public concerning the major role that exposure to carcinogens takes in cancer causation.

There is a tremendous volume of peer-reviewed scientific research literature that describes the major role of exposure to carcinogens in cancer causation. Major avoidable cancer hazards, include: exposures to the exhaust from combustion of fossil fuels, exposures to carcinogenic metals and exposures to persistent organic pollutants (POPs).

POPs are man-made toxic substances that bioaccumulate in the highest concentrations at the top of food chains. POPs are fat-soluble. Thus, these carcinogenic substances are present in all animal fats.

In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) published, “Persistent Organic Pollutants: Impact on Child Health”. This public health policy guidance document calls for a worldwide unified effort within the health professions to minimize the exposures that children receive to POPs. Limiting animal fat consumption is the key exposure minimization strategy. Another important strategy is the banning of the feeding of waste animal fats to food animals.

At the date of this entry, no United States government public health entity has provided the American public with a warning of the POPs exposure health hazard. Hopefully, the Picket Project will serve to move the work of cancer elimination rapidly forward. I look forward ever so much to the new day when scientific knowledge will be used to the fullest extent possible to prevent disease regardless of political considerations. We are dreadfully far away from that day at this moment.

The federal government public health entities have the blood of many thousands of Americans on their hands. Warning of the POPs exposure health hazard could have been provided long before the WHO published the landmark report named above. The scientific research literature provided a solid foundation for the conclusion that POPs exposure imposed a significant quantity of risk of serious harm to human health as early as 2000. Cancer Action NY has endeavored to warn the public of the POPs exposure health hazard since January 2000. Initially, we focused on the dioxin and PCB exposure health hazards. In the past several years we have expanded our focus to total POPs exposures, including brominated flame retardants and lipophilic pesticides.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) National Conversation Network has demonstrated significant willingness to facilitate POPs exposure minimization educational outreach to Americans residing in the vicinity of POPs contaminated sites. The National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry sister agencies of the CDCP are working in collaboration with Cancer Action NY to produce two documents that will be used to educate physicians on the subject of the dioxin exposure health hazard and the PCB exposure health hazard. We have received assurances from CDCP decision-makers that the next step will be to produce spin-off documents on these subjects for use educating the general public.

THE CANCER ELIMINATION ACT

I am the Green Party candidate in the CD-21 New York Race. I have encountered significant obstacles to my campaign, including: lack of fairness in coverage of campaign events by the news media and limited campaign resources. Nevertheless, a recent poll conducted by Ourcampaigns.org gives me 4 percent of the vote. Every day now, I encounter voters who express their support for my candidacy. I am hopeful that my final vote count will be over 10 percent of the votes cast.

During the course of the campaign, I have met another Green Party candidate, William Edstrom. Bill is running for New York State Assembly in a Bronx district. He conceived of the idea of writing a Cancer Elimination Act.

I will post the first draft of the Cancer Elimination Act to the PicketProject blog. I am most hopeful that some of those who choose to participate in the PicketProject will be interested in providing feedback on this important piece of legislation.
